The Taifun Bison was a very light weight and powerful engine in its days.
The Mk I had an aluminum cast cylinder head that was changed later to a bar stock machined head with fins. The reason was that the glow plug taps often stripped in the cast cylinder head.
Hans Hoernlein manufactured 2 different versions of the Taifun Bison model Glow engine, not counting that some cylinder fins were not anodized.
